# Brex (API Key) - How do I link my account?

# Overview

To authenticate with Brex (API Key), you will need:

1. **API Token** - A key that grants Nango permission to interact with Brex's API resources and services.

This guide will walk you through finding or generating the API Token within Brex.

### Prerequisites:

* You must have a registered Brex account with admin access

### Instructions:

#### Step 1: Finding Your API Token

1. **Log in** to your Brex [account](https://dashboard.brex.com/) as an [account admin or card admin](https://developer.brex.com/docs/roles_permissions_scopes).
2. Go to [**Developer** > **Settings**](https://dashboard.brex.com/settings/developer).
3. Click **Create Token**.
4. Create a **Name** for your token then choose what level of data access you need for your application; these are the [scopes](https://developer.brex.com/docs/roles_permissions_scopes) your token will have.

5. The next screen will confirm your previous selections. Make sure it looks good, then click **Allow Access**.

6. Your token is now created.

#### Step 2: Enter credentials in the Connect UI

Once you have your **API Token**:

1. Open the form where you need to authenticate with Brex (API Key).
2. Enter the **API Token** in its designated field.
3. Submit the form, and you should be successfully authenticated.

You are now connected to Brex (API Key).
